Manuel de Murga’s compositions have been featured on international concert programs, receiving performances by soloists and ensembles such as the Amernet String Quartet, the CORE Ensemble, the Florida Orchestra (Michael Francis, conductor), guitarist Stephen Robinson, the Stetson University Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra (Anthony Hose, conductor), and flutist Nestor Torres.  

His music has been called “…a display of intelligent and inspired invention with syncopated rhythms and a very cutting-edge structure…” (El Nuevo Herald). Additional impressions of his award-winning work include “upbeat and understated” (Tampa Bay Online) and “haunting and otherworldly” (Bowdoin College). 

He teaches at Stetson University where he is Associate Professor of Music and Director of Composition.
